Capture the extraordinary in the everyday: A full day to immerse yourself in street photography with filmmaker and street photographer Xavi Herrero. An intensive, hands-on 10-hour workshop to train your observation skills, improve your street photography technique, and explore urban narratives with your own ethical and creative perspective.

Enthusiasts, students, and photographers who want to delve deeper into street photography, regardless of their technical level.


Topics:

10:00-11:30 a.m. Galerie Art Nomade.

Introduction and visual observation. What is and isn't street photography?

Urban composition and storytelling. Building or improvising the perfect scene.

Three street photography techniques. The background of the frame.

Strengthening or calming the scene.

Relationships: Gazes, gestures, situations, contrasts.

Natural light and technical control. Appropriate equipment. Focal lengths.

Ethics versus ego in street photography.

Narrating while editing your photographs.


11:30-12:30. Outing to various locations.

Street exercise to break taboos.

12:30-17:30. Outing to various locations.

Guided photography outing. Practical tour of Barcelona.

17:30-20:00. Galerie Art Nomade.

Editing the photographs taken.

Creation of a portfolio of 5 photographs.

Group viewing and final constructive critique.
