Daroga is a Dom, one of the lowest castes in India. He works at the public crematoriums of Manikarnika in Varanasi. He hates his job but is trapped by the country's caste system and questions a religion and society that imprisons him, preventing him from thriving in life. Through Daroga's eyes, DOM takes us on a critical journey into the intertwined religious themes of death, reincarnation, and spiritual liberation in a Varanasi teeming with pilgrims during the height of monsoon season.
Dom is a co-production between Eivissa Cinema and Xavi Herrero Films with the support of Ibizacinefest.
